Middle School

 

 

We love students at First Baptist, Paris. We hope that you find this to be a place where you are not only ministered to, but somewhere you have the opportunity to share in ministry with us. One of the most important elements in student ministry is participation. The more you invest in something, the more you get out of it. So we encourage you to join us on a regular basis. This is your group - a place where you mean everything to us, to your peers and, most importantly, to God. We look forward to seeing you at church.

 

Here are a few of the many activities found in the Middle School Ministry of First Baptist Church:

 

Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. There are grade-level classes availabe for every student.

 

Youth Choir meets at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday evenings for a snack meal, followed by rehearsals from 5 to 5:45 p.m. This choir, called Positive Impact, leads worship on various occasions on Sunday mornings and Sunday evenings.

 

Various 6-8 week studies are offered to our students. The goal of these classes is to promote Christian discipleship - the process by which students grow in the Lord, Jesus Christ through the equipping of the Holy Spirit to overcome the pressures and trials of this present life and become more and more Christ-like.

 

Students have the opportunity to gather and study God's Word on a weekly basis. This time is filled with lessons, activities and times of prayer to draw each student into a closer relationship with Jesus. It also includes a time of praise and worship with a live band. Bible study meets from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. each Wednesday.
